Filipe Monteiro - Team Leader, Director
Hi.
My name is Filipe Monteiro. I am a 15 year-old Christian VFX Artist and
3D Artist. I am in the 9th grade right now and I wish to pursue a
career related to Filmmaking industry.
I started learning how to do my own Visual Effects on September 2007. I had just found out RvD2 and I was fascinated by it.
Everytime I am interested or fascinated by something, I go to the bottom of it and try to learn as much as I can from it.
I
discovered that the effects were made, not by an entire payed crew, but
by two men, with a simple computer, with a simple, yet powerful,
program - Adobe After Effects. That is the program that I have been using since then to do all my Visual Effects.
In terms of 3D Modeling, the program I use is Maxon Cinema 4D.
I really like both of these programs. They are quite powerful and, speaking of C4D, quite simple in terms of User Interface.
I have, as main inspirations, I have The Force.Net's
Boards' members, as they are very skilled in VFX and I have learned
much from them. My other main inspiration is the work of Andrew Kramer,
from VideoCopilot.net
More about me... I enjoy writing, I am a
musician. I play the Piano, Guitar, Harmonica, the Flute and I can also
play an Ocarina with my hands. I would love to get an actual Ocarina
and I would love to play the Violin, the Bass, Saxophone and the...
horizontal Flute, which the name doesn't come to mind right now.
I love the country. If I could, I would live surrounded by nature.
I'm a bit stubborn and quite persistent. I can, most of the times, get what I want. I am also very proud.
Well,
that's pretty much it. I'll update this page with details from the rest
of the crew as soon as I can and, in lack of a better picture related
to Filmmaking with me on it, you get this awesome-looking picture of
me, setting up my tripod on a Parking Lot, near a former construction
side.
